For us, sZita Bakery is more than just a job; it’s a calling. Our journey from home baking to opening our own workshop has been guided by traditional rural values, a closeness to nature, and the joy of creation.
In our workshop, we craft sourdough breads and pastries using traditional, artisanal techniques, using only natural ingredients. We use no additives or pre-made products – only time, patience, and care.
Our goal is to bring baked goods to your table that embody the feeling of home, the value of handcrafted work, and respect for tradition. We look forward to welcoming you at our shop: 12 Jókai St, 8500 Pápa.
We believe in direct connection. We know our customers by name, happily answer their questions, and help them find the perfect baked goods for their needs.
Long fermentation, our own house-made wild sourdough, and carefully selected flours – crafted just as they were in the old days.
In our bakery, you’ll also find products from other local artisans: syrups, jams, honeys, cheeses, and unique accessories.
Discover the world of sourdough baking firsthand! In our workshops, we bake sourdough breads and braided brioches together while sharing the secrets of sourdough starters.
We will guide you through the process step-by-step, from feeding the starter to the freshly baked, crispy-crusted loaf. You will learn how to observe the dough's condition, when it's time for folding, and how to shape beautiful, characteristic loaves.
During the sessions, we provide more than just recipes; we share a mindset. You can experience the joy of slow fermentation, natural ingredients, and manual labor. You can ask questions, experiment, and gain real experience in a supportive, family-like workshop atmosphere.
At the end of the workshop, you will return home with your own handmade bread or brioche, as well as an active sourdough starter, so you can continue this special, tradition-based creative process at home.

This recognition is a great honor for us, validating our commitment to traditional, artisanal techniques and the use of natural ingredients.
